As part of their recruitment strategy, our client decided to relaunch their career microsite to better serve their needs as an international provider in the field of mobility. The new microsite repositioned their digital reputation and brought together everything that makes them a trusted reference as an employer into one centralized space.

The Challenge

Taking control of one's online reputation is necessary for business growth. This was the case of our client. Already established as a leader in the field of mobility, they realized that their reputation as a classic mobility company was a big challenge for their recruitment goals. The solution was to relaunch their career microsite and fulfill their goals of repositioning themselves as a tech-driven mobility enabler company whose aim is to digitalize the mobility industry.

The Solution

Rebranding is the first step to changing one's reputation. Our partner agency introduced us to our client's new employer identity. Based on that, it was clear that we would build a modern microsite with state-of-the-art design and technologies to portray the tech-driven values of our client.

Parallel to the rebranding, we were responsible for building the new information architecture in order to restructure the information available. This allowed us to always present the applicants with all relevant information in an intelligent and organized way. By ensuring the right information is available in every step, we were able to answer any questions and doubts that might hinder the application process, and build trust in our client as an employer. Moreover, all pages were designed to lead the applicants to the open jobs. To do so, we made the search a dominant feature on the start page and provided several leading points throughout the microsite.

As an international company, it was important for our client that the microsite acts as a centralized hub for everything related to their recruitment process. Therefore, it serves as a home for the various teams in various offices around the world. Although the information differs from one team to another or one location to another, we made sure to organize all the information in a way that guaranteed consistency while still being flexible.

Flexibility was a key aspect in terms of development as well. We chose to build the microsite with a modern headless architecture to have the data organized regardless of the representation layer. The data exchange is organized via an API. It was also important to maintain the support of the external recruitment tools that were already used by our client and integrate them seamlessly into our new process. To fulfill this requirement we created a sync mechanism that also allows us to perform further operations on behalf of this data which were not provided out of the box by the origin system. To provide maximum flexibility we also provided a way to work with individual application forms so that job-specific questions can directly be submitted by applicants for the corresponding jobs. Moreover, we created a CI/CD and a build workflow based on GitLab and AWS Codedeploy to ensure agile development processes. The hosting environment was set up on AWS EC2 infrastructure with the usage of S3/CloudFront for hosting static assets.

The Result

Rebranding and relaunching the career microsite of our client led to successful recruitment campaigns. Thanks to the new architecture bringing all relevant information to light and making the microsite a centralized hub representing the new branding at an international level, we provided our client with a solution that fit their requirements and provided them with full flexibility in their process. The development process ensured the use of modern solutions that integrated seamlessly with our client's internal tools and workflows.
